  • bowlroll (japanese site), this site usually has made from scratch models/models created fully by the user uploading them, stages, accessories and effects.
  • NND/niconico douga and nico seiga (japanese site), usually has made from scratch models, accessories and stages, effects are (i believe) less common here (ive like NEVER seen an effect on seiga or nnd). fair warning: sexual ads are not uncommon for this site so be careful
  • getuploader (japanese site), this site usually has made from scratch accessories, stages and effects, models are less common here (i dont think ive ever seen a model dl on getuploader)
  • nico3d (japanese site), this site usually has made from scratch models. fair warning: sexual ads are not uncommon for this site so be careful
  • axfc.net (japanese site), this site is very unusual to see, more commonly used for utau downloads, HUGE WARNING FOR THIS SITE IT IS LITTERED WITH PORN ADS!!!!!! now 4 nnd, nnd is jus da japanese equivalent of yt so if u search liek mmd model distribution it'll show u mvs wher they giv links 2 da models used, usualy made by da creatr of da model. da link wil b offsite, usually hostd on bowlroll or getuploadr but somtimes nico3d which is actualy a part of nnd!! now seiga is also a part of nnd (kinda obvious by da naem :3), its jus 4 images, but searchin 4 distributins is jus liek nnd iirc, howevr i wld b careful bc if u pull up an img on seiga they put recommended imags next 2 it which cna somtimes b sexual in nature :C

tbh thers not much 2 getuploader, think mediafire but japanese, da only thing of note is liek wen u go 2 da dl page 4 stufies u hav 2 click dl twice 2 actualy get da dl

tbh i wldnt rly recomend goin on sites liek nnd/seiga/nico3d or bowlroll unless u atlest kno a litl bit of japanese! thes sites can b supr confusin 2 navigat if u dnt kno atlest som of da languag, u can set nnd/seiga/nico3d n bowlroll 2 english ui but still da readmes 4 da stuf u dl miht not hav english translations in them!!

  • sph = sphere, liek a litl guide 4 da lihting 2 show it how 2 liht da object its placed on
  • -styled (suffix) = has da appearance of bein made by tht prsn, liek 4 exampl tda-styled means it looks liek it was made by tda, usually coz they based it off parts frm tda
  • redistribution = kinda self-explanatory but it means distributing da file of whtever mentiond insted of jus linkin da page 2 da thing
  • mmdc = mikumikudance community
  • western mmdc = exactly what it says, alot of times its usd 2 mean united statesian mmdc

da answr: thts prbly mojibake aka japanese charactrs tht got messd up frm eithr usin da wrong charset 2 read them if its in a txt file or u unzippd da file wif encodin r whtevr frm a charset tht dsnt rly support japanese chars!! if its da file name or whtevr thts wrong, u shld dl bandizip n unzip da file wif tht!!! make sur u set da encodin 2 japanese (or whtevr languag tht u think it wld b in) n tht shld fix ur prblm! if its an issue wif da txt file, u shld dl notepad++ n read da file wif tht! if u cant find wher 2 chang da charset jus look at all da view settin stufies coz i dnt feel liek givin a tutorial rn i 4got 2 dl notepad++ when i had 2 format my hd qwq

da answr: probably coz da program couldnt read da file name, 2 fix tht u need 2 chang da file name 2 smth liek for eg 'hair' if its da hair textur, liek jus name it by wht da textur is 4, then u hav 2 put da model in pmxe, go 2 texturs, find whtevrs white aka blank n change da file location thingie on it 2 whtevr it is aftr u change it!
